  • The applicant need to fill the basic information’s in the FSSAI form with the required class.
  • All the necessary details and documents should be drafted along with the FSSAI application.
  • The FSSAI application along with the necessary documents is filed in the FSSAI portal.
  • Once the application is approved, the acknowledgement number will be generated in 7 days.

It is a registration that is required for small startups whose annual turnover is less than 12 lakhs and can be upgraded to state license later when the turnover increases. Eg: storage units, small size manufacturers, transporters, marketers, retailers, distributors.

The FSSAI state license is applicable to the average sized companies whose annual turnover is between 12- 20 crores.

When the business expansion is large with a turnover more than 20 crores, the FSSAI central license is preferred.
